Marley's sharing

Marley invited to me flag at Hanahau'oli this morning to watch her share the vase she made me for Mother's Day. Shhh! It's a secret! Here's Marley with one of her partners in crime, Hananiah.

Presents from Japan

One of the cool things besides having everyone home is the presents they bring! This was Marley's favorite - a deer hat from Nara.

Macie goes to Israel

Macie had her "Trip to Israel" at school today. Marley asked, "Mom is Macie really going to Israel?"
For those of you who may not know, Macie goes to a Jewish preschool at Temple Emanuel.

It is actually very cute, they get little passports and go through baggage check and security before boarding the slide that takes them to the plane.

Here you can see the class upon arrival in Israel, this is their tour of Galilee.

After the trip they got to visit the giftshop and the snack shop. What's for snack you ask? Pita, hummus, and falafel of course! Yummy!

Welcome home!

Yippee! They're home! Marley and Macie made this beautiful sign to welcome the Sugihara-Stinson tour home.

Easter and Robin's disturbing realization

Well its a little late, but I thought I would start off with a short posting about Easter. We had a great day at Granny Val's with the Sugihara side of the family. Marley and Macie were decked out in their Roxy dresses and busy hunting for eggs. We had 48 eggs for 2 kids. We need some Sugihara cousins (hint, hint)!

Aunty Nina taught the girls had to "fight" with hard boiled eggs. The girls had fun banging the eggs together and seeing who's cracked first.

Here is Marley showing off her basket. Aunty Becki sent us some Easter pictures from two years ago that made it all too apparent how quickly the girls are growing up!

How did this happen??? I am having serious difficulty accepting the fact that they aren't babies anymore - sob, sob, sob . . .

In the beginning . . .

Greetings from the Miyamoto family! Well, I never thought we would do it, but we have decided to start a blog. We did not take this decision lightly, but after much debate, we jumped in for 2 reasons: first - we think Uncle Josh's postings from Japan are too cool and we want to be able to do our own postings from Disney World and secondly because the girls are growing up so fast and say or do funny things all the time, that we just have not been able to capture and God know we won't be able to remember! For those of you who don't know, the girls' nicknames (given by Aunty Becki) are Marleypants and Maciecakes, hence the name of the blog. So hold on and here we go . . .
