Macie's Moxy

Friday evening the Miyamoto's had a fabulous night out.  We saw Night at the Museum 2 and pigged out The Spaghetti factory after the movie.  During the movie Amelia Earhart tells Ben Stiller's character, Larry, "You've lost your moxy".  Macie leaned over to me and asked me, "Mommy, what's moxy" and I told her "It's your spirit or the thing that makes you have fun", she looked back at me and said, "Oh, I have moxy!"

Sun and fun at the beach

We had a great day at the beach yesterday celebrating Aunty Leiali'i's birthday.  The girls and I spent the whole afternoon in the water and even got a chance to try out paddleboarding (kneeling not standing).  After we cleaned up Marley tried to snack on an apple, but it's challenging with no front teeth!

Another one bites the dust!

Just 1 week after losing her first front tooth, the second one followed last night. It had been hanging on by a thread for a couple days and caved in a battle with pasta primavera during dinner last night! If we keep this up, the tooth fairy will be the next in line for a government bailout!

I had a great mother's day weekend! Denise Sataraka and I rocked the night away at the "Ladies of the 80's" concert with Lisa Lisa, SWV, and Salt 'N Pepper. Sunday morning Marc made chocolate chip pancakes and the girls had a bouquet of paper pinwheel flowers they made. We had a low key day hanging out at Granny Val's and then off to Shokudo for mother's day dinner and to celebrate Big Papa's 95th birthday!

Here's Big Papa with his delicious Lemon Crunch cake from Aiea Bowl!
And here are the girls with Big Papa and Big Granny. So cute!

Exciting weekend

We had a fun filled weekend that started with Maya's Backyardigan birthday party (I'll add photos later), a spontaneous trip to the water park on Sunday, and to cap off the weekend, Marley lost her front tooth! She was worrying it all day and it finally popped out while eating udon for dinner. Once again, another reminder that she is growing up too fast!
